Saturday is armed forces day in Whitby.
There will be some events on the dock end and we will have a fly past

The Grand Depart- Tour De France Yorkshire
The Tour de France will be in Yorkshire from the 4th July around Leeds and 5th July York
Some roads will be closed but there will be alot of traffic around, so plan your journey and try to avoid York and Leeds.

From the 1st of May a new system of Street parking is being introduced.
You can still park on the streets around ourselves for an unlimited time,
however, you will be required to display a scratch card provided free of charge by ourselves. Some accomodation providers are charging for the permit.
When booking one of our rooms with reserved parking you do not need a card.

Our newest room at Sandpiper is now available to book.
Formerly the four poster room, this room is situated on the second floor.
The room has been totally transformed, decorated in cool creams and greys, with a solid oak sleigh bed, with matching side tables and dressing table plus a solid oak hand carved wardrobe. A wall mounted 32″ led TV allows you to relax and watch from the Laura Ashley leather settee or from your bed.
A new trevertine tiled en-suite with fitted furniture and double width shower has also been fitted.
Free wifi, hospitality tray and luxury toiletries are included.
This room also has a reserved car parking space for a fiesta sized vehicle.

A family-run takeaway on the Yorkshire coast has been named the UK’s best independent fish and chip shop.
Quayside in Whitby won the flagship award at the National Fish and Chip Awards 2014 in London, as well as the award for marketing innovation.
