Lunch at the Hairy Fig -YORK

On Thursady 19th july we didnt have anyone arriving so we decided to make the most of it and go to York.

Arriving around lunch time we strolled into the centre and our thoughts soon turned to food. On the off chance we noticed an advertising board

informing you that the ” Hairy Fig, Purveyors of Fine Fodder” was open.

What a find, the food was prepared in the smallest kitchen next to the four tables in the room and was excellent.

Rhod Gilbert Heads to the Spa

A regular on Live At The Apollo and with his own BBC One show Ask Rhod Gilbert, he’s one of the world’s hottest comedians.
His stand-up rants on life’s minor irritations are legendary, but this year, he’s a more mellow fellow altogether. He’s now so laid-back he even let someone tattoo a Battenberg on him. Will the new, chilled-out Rhod get his girl and live happily ever after, or will it be microwaved baked potato for one again? Could it be the Mr Angry of comedy as you’ve never seen him before?  Rhod appears at the scarborough spa on13th november 2012
